This correction sent to Milt by Bob:
It was an engine either
going into or being taken out of
my roadster, not Tonys, at Quebec
street. Note 32 Ford bumper and
crack in fender. Anyway what
does it matter I guess.
Over the many years I owned
that car, { 1951 to 1961}
I had many engines, among
them Tonys and Fred Welches.
I had a DeSoto small hemi I
was going to put in but swapped
it for Tonys engine from Termite.
It was always blowing a head gasket
as I remember. Head was warped
a little but never did have it planed. I
sold the car to Tom Hood in ,61
and he's still got it, Going to
be buried in it. When I look
back over the years before
buying the sailboat, I had an
awful lot of old iron. Still have.
The back field is full of it.
Torino wagons and multi
VW,s. An addiction to be sure.
